Yay, our new birthday calendar is here!

It not only helps you keep track of birthdays and important dates but also highlights the special connections that support the work at Medical Solidarity International. People who stand in solidarity alongside those seeking protection—whether in medical missions, psychosocial counseling, or our regional groups across Germany—are part of this community. This solidarity is also reflected in the special friendships many of us share with animals. Connections with animals, people, and the world around us make this calendar truly special.

So, our birthday calendar is more than just a collection of dates. It reminds us how important it is to come together, act collectively, and cherish the beautiful moments we can share. It invites you to think of one another, be there for each other—and celebrate life in all its moments.

And the best part: every purchase directly supports our work, as part of the proceeds go to our projects. The perpetual calendar will be available here on the website from mid-November 2025.

Grab the calendar for yourself or as a gift. This way, you not only bring joy to yourself but also to others—and show your support for unity and solidarity.

Enjoy the birthday calendar!

Your team at Medical Solidarity International e.V.

  • LUKA

Sarah, from our board at Medical Solidarity International, shares her life with her dog, Luka. Named after Loukanikos, the legendary Greek street dog who became a symbol of resistance, Luka is more than a loyal friend to Sarah. He embodies the values of solidarity and commitment to justice — principles that guide her every day in her work at MSI.

  • MIMI

I have been involved with MSI for several years because I firmly believe that we should work together to ensure vulnerable people receive the support they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives. My cat, Mimi, came from a shelter, and she reminds me of the importance of support and care.

  • NELE

This is the Haflinger mare Nele, who belongs to Eva. Eva worked as a doctor with MSI in Athens in summer 2025 and supported the project there. In Athens, MSI is often the first medical point of contact for people who have ended up in camps around the city or on
the streets during their journey. These people frequently do not speak Greek or, for other reasons, do not receive the support they need within the Greek healthcare system. That’s why MSI does indispensable work in Athens to ensure the right to medical care for all people.

  • FREDDY

Christina: I am a board member of the :do foundation, and we support the important work of MSI. At the external borders, there is not only a lack of medical care, but also a lack
of mental support and recognition. We have seen how MSI helps people holistically. My dog Freddy makes my children laugh, and I wish the same for all children at the external borders.

  • ROMA

Roma and I stand for human rights because they are universal and inviolable. No one should face less dignity or safety because of their origin, gender, or background. At MSI, I work to make injustice visible and to take a clear stand. Roma reminds me every day
that equality and solidarity require courage and responsibility. Together, we stand for a just and humane world.

  • CORINA

Amparo supports the work of MSI because she firmly believes that every human being deserves to live in safety and peace. She has been helping people in need for many years. Even her rescued cat Corina benefits every day from Amparo‘s warm nature.

  • ALFONS

My dog Alfons has a vaccination certificate, health insurance and an EU pet passport. Some people have none of these things. That‘s why I support MSI, because healthcare is
a human right and should know no borders. Monika is involved in the MSI regional group in Hanover.

  • ROSIE

My name is Desiree, and this is my dog, Rosie. I deeply value the work of MSI e.V. because access to medical care is a fundamental right. Unfortunately, people on the move would still be denied this right if organisations like yours did not exist. My sister also served on the MSI e.V. board.

  • BEBO

This is Bebo. He comes from a village near Mytilini and has been accompanying Bele for five years. With his special nature, he opens hearts and connects people wherever they go. Together, they are committed to helping refugees – especially on the island of Lesbos, where they established close contact with MSI, whose work they continue to actively support to this day.

  • ROSI

“I think the work of Medical Solidarity International e.V. is important because it helps people in desperate situations who are often overlooked. I am touched that we are helping to preserve basic human dignity and health precisely where they are most under threat.
(Yvonne, MSI e.V. Regional group Hamburg) and her miniature pig Rosi.

  • SAMSON

“It is important to me to give people in difficult situations a sense of stability, to show them that they are not alone with their worries, and to help them find suitable support and care services in their region.“ Anna supports MSI‘s work as a psychosocial counsellor in the WeCare project, and her dog Samson is always by her side.

  • MøLLEN

“My name is Sandra, I live in Denmark with my dog Møllen and spent three months this year working as a doctor on the MSI project in Athens. This work is so important to me because I see how much refugees suffer and how much they need medical help – it touches me to give them hope, especially when everything seems so hopeless.”
