Who can start a fundraiser for MVI?
Anyone who wants to support basic health care for people in need. Simply share your own fundraiser with as many people as possible.
What do I have to consider when creating my own fundraising campaign?
With a suitable text and your personal photo, you will inspire your circle of friends. Make sure you set a realistic donation target and share the donation link a few weeks before the event so that all your supporters are informed.
Do I have to register to create my own fundraiser?
No, registration is not necessary. You only need to create a fundraising page. As soon as the fundraising campaign is online, you will receive a campaign link from us, which you can then share with your friends.
Can I also collect donations in cash?
Online donations are easy and secure. However, if you would like to collect additional cash donations for your campaign, e.g. via a donation box at your party, then please transfer the total amount to our bank account afterwards.
Can I see who is donating? Can my friends donate anonymously?
Yes, you as the initiator can always see who has donated money to your campaign. Your supporters can also enter an imaginary name during the donation process. Further data for the transfer are not publicly visible. For sending the donation receipt we need the address.

How can I make my fundraising campaign successful?
It’s simple: share the campaign as much as possible! The more people know about your commitment, the more successful your fundraising campaign will be. And maybe you will make the first donation yourself – this will encourage your friends and family.
Online, you can tell your friends about your action via Facebook, Instagram, What`s App Status, Signal, Telegram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, email and many other networks. If this is shared, you will also reach more distant acquaintances. You can also print your appeal for donations on cards or distribute it as an encrypted QR code at your party.
How high should the donation target be?
Set yourself a realistic fundraising target, depending on the occasion and the number of people you want to reach. The same applies here: the more people know about it, the better. By the way, you can still increase your fundraising target during the campaign.
What will the money I collect be used for?
MEDICAL SOLIDARITY INTERNATIONAL e.V. uses your help to provide medical care to people at Europe’s external borders who would otherwise have no access to medical treatment.
What are the payment options?
You can donate by credit card, PayPal, SEPA direct debit, Klarna Sofortüberweisung or with a simple bank transfer.
Will I receive a donation receipt?
For donations up to 300 €, the tax office only needs a copy of the relevant bank statement or a printout from online banking together with the accompanying letter, which you can find here.
If a donation receipt is desired, please write the address in the subject line of the bank transfer or Paypal. Donation receipts will be sent at the beginning of the following year.
