Healthcare is a human right! We provide basic medical care for people in need!

Populist and right-wing slogans and tendencies are currently on the rise in Germany and throughout Europe, especially when it comes to refugees and migration.

We are launching our information campaign in October 2024 to take a stand and inform people, because we are convinced that raising awareness of the abuses and disregard for human rights at the EU’s external borders can help to ward off right-wing tendencies. The aim is to raise awareness of humanitarian principles and the consequences of isolationist policies, with a focus on medical care for refugees.

It is important to inform about the actual situation at the external borders of the EU, such as pushbacks or the denial and impediment of access to asylum procedures, because such measures are incompatible with human rights and international refugee law. We want to encourage people to show solidarity and stand up against discrimination and racism. In the long term, this helps to promote a more democratic and human rights-orientated awareness in society, which weakens right-wing ideologies.

In our campaign, we highlight the discrepancy between the EU’s official commitments to protecting human rights and the actual practices at the borders.
