What we do
We support people where support is urgently needed.
Since 2018, we have been working at Europe’s external borders and in other regions where people face significant barriers to accessing support.
Our work combines direct support on the ground, psychosocial services, outreach and mobile work, information and orientation, as well as referrals to existing services and structures.
We work closely with local partner organisations and professionals, adapting our projects to the specific needs of the people and communities we support.
Alongside our practical work, we are committed to raising awareness of the realities and challenges faced by people on the move, documenting experiences and developments, and reporting transparently on our work.
Our work focuses on three main areas:
Direct Support on the Ground
We reach people through our projects, mobile and outreach work, providing practical support, orientation and psychosocial services.
Information & Awareness
Through information and awareness campaigns, we raise awareness of the situation of people at Europe’s external borders and highlight ongoing challenges and human rights violations.
Documentation & Transparency
Through our annual reports and other publications, we document our work, developments within our projects and the people we reach.
Info Campaign
‘Healthcare is a human right’ – human rights are non-negotiable!
Populist and right-wing slogans and tendencies are currently on the rise in Germany and throughout Europe, especially when it comes to refugees and migration.
We are launching our information campaign in October 2024 to take a stand and inform people, because we are convinced that raising awareness of the abuses and disregard for human rights at the EU’s external borders can help to ward off right-wing tendencies. The aim is to raise awareness of humanitarian principles and the consequences of isolationist policies, with a focus on medical care for refugees.
It is important to inform about the actual situation at the external borders of the EU, such as pushbacks or the denial and impediment of access to asylum procedures, because such measures are incompatible with human rights and international refugee law. We want to encourage people to show solidarity and stand up against discrimination and racism. In the long term, this helps to promote a more democratic and human rights-orientated awareness in society, which weakens right-wing ideologies.
In our campaign, we highlight the discrepancy between the EU’s official commitments to protecting human rights and the actual practices at the borders.
This project is being realised through a nationwide poster and postcard campaign, a social media campaign and several public events (dates here). All background texts are available in a booklet and can also be accessed via the buttons below.

Why Donate?
Our work is only possible because people choose to support it.
Donations enable us to purchase the materials needed for our projects and to deploy our teams where people urgently need support. We keep our administrative costs as low as possible so that our available resources can go directly into our projects.
Around half of the people we reach are undocumented and therefore often have very limited access to existing support services. Without our work, many of them would not be reached and would be left to deal with their problems and needs on their own.
Your donation enables us to provide concrete support on the ground: information and orientation, first aid, psychosocial support, social assistance, mobile outreach, community outreach and referrals to appropriate medical, social and public services.
